EV CHARGING NETWORK

With our partners in the inter-Tribal Electric Nation, SAGE is bringing necessary infrastructure to the Upper Midwest to support electric vehicle (EV) adoption in the area. This initiative enables our community to embrace clean energy and adopt more sustainable transportation modes. We’ve already installed 7 charging stations across the Standing Rock Nation and received 6 electric vehicles.

GOALS

Lower Transportation Costs

By lowering the burden of transportation costs, the charging network makes electric vehicles accessible to the Standing Rock Nation.

Encourage Clean Mobility

Installing a corridor of EV chargers allows us to create systems of clean mobility across rural MN, ND, and SD, improving access to long-distance destinations and new job opportunities.

Modernize Infrastructure

Building a modern EV charging network is a vital step in SAGE’s fight against fossil fuel infrastructure, setting a new standard for communities to thrive in harmony with nature.

Long-Term Ethical Sustainability

The transition to EVs is the first step on an extensive, complex journey to sustainability, representing our unwavering dedication to ethical environmental practices.

PROGRESS

The EV Charging Network is in development, with 6 EVs already delivered to Standing Rock Nation, providing transportation for veterans, elderly residents, and others. Charging stations have been installed at 7 strategic locations: the Standing Rock Tribal Administration Headquarters, the Rock Energy convenience store, Grace River Casino, and the Standing Rock Tribal High School.
